Chris joined SSA(Europe) in 1992 as programme coordinator for the annual conferences in the UK and was instrumental in extending the organisations presence into mainland Europe by hosting conferences in Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris and Milan. In 1999, Chris was elected Chairman of the organisation and served a two-year period before taking on his current role as Secretary of SSA(Europe).
Chris has been a frequent visitor to the SESHA annual conference contributing on several occasions as a speaker. Chris has been a key liaison between SESHA and SSA (Europe) and he was named a SESHA Fellow at the 2004 annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Chris obtained his degree in chemistry whilst working for Ferranti and now holds the position of Chartered Chemist. He has been employed by Philips Semiconductors since 1984 and is now the Philips UK Group EHS Manager.
